Had problem with ice maker and replaced it. Noe the drip pan keeps filling up. Entire bottom of unit was cleaned and took out all the built up dust. No visible water leaks from fittings. Also not sure how to change the water filter. I can see the filter housing but not sure how to open it. Any advice or direction would be appreciated. Currently using small hand pump to empty drin pan.

Is the condenser/compressor fan on when the compressor is on.
It should be.
It not only cools the compressor but also helps evaporate the water.

Shut off the water to the fridge so you can tell if the water is from the normal defrost or from a water leak.

If it is from normal defrost you may have a bad door seal which is letting too much warm moist air into the unit causing excessive frost on the evaporator.
Clean/check the door seals.
