I have a fridge that works for several weeks then gets hot. If I unplug and plug back in will work again for several weeks then get hot again. My initial thought was defrost timer sticking in defrost but, I can't seem to find one for this model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are your parts

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

The unit does not use a defrost timer.
Defrost as well as temperature control is controlled by the control (jazz) board.

It is electronic so that is why the unit probably resets itself when you unplug it.

It is a good idea to put a surge protector on an electronic fridge.
It just plugs into the wall outlet and then the fridge plugs into it.
Home Depot etc sell them.
A 1000 joule is recommended but a 750 joule should do the job if you cannot find a 1000 joule unit.
This prevents voltage spikes on the line which can blow boards.
