Cannot locate user manual. Can someone please provide instructions to put appliance in test or diagnostic mode. I googled and cannot find. Thanks so much.

great, thanks. cor.some.reason it wont go into mode. unplugged and replugged, tried it and wont go into mode. hVing problem of coils frosting over I guess defroster not coming on. used to be Able to put int diGnostic mode and defrost that way but not working this time. is it motherboard issue? thNks again

That would also be my best guess.

You could unplug the unit and measure from P1-2 to P1-3 on the mother board (defrost heater and defrost thermostat).
It should be in the 20 to 30 ohm range.
If OK then odds are very high that it is the board.

Note the coils must be frozen so that the defrost thermostat is closed when doing the check.

yea, the whole coils were pretty covered up with ice. cleared it up with hot water last night, but as of this morning, covereded again with ice. how much is the mother board? I will check the ohms .
