The handle of my Kitchen Aide top/bottom refrigerator's freezer door compartment has come loose and for the life of me I can't see how to tighten it. Do i have to remove the gasket, etc... from the inside of the compartment door to allow me to tighten the bolts? The parts diagram for the door really doesn't show how to gain access to the bolts. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a replacement handle listed for your model: Part number: AP3885991
Part number: AP3885991
.
You'll notice the "key-hole" mounting slot in one of the views. Lift upward with a slight outward pressure on the handle, and it should come off the mounting studs. Tighten the studs and slide the handle back on.
