The electronic control was destroyed by a power surge and melted. I replaced it but now the odor linger and even the ice tastes bad. What can I do to eliminate it. I did not replace the console which was charred but ok.

I opened two boxes of baking soda and put one in the freezer, and one in the fridge, and it got rid of the electrical smell.
