I removed the water filter to change it. It was out for about two hours while I attempted to buy a replacement. I had to order online replacement. When I returned and replaced the filter, there was water on floor under the refrig. Turned off supply to refrigerator overnight and dried everything thoroughly. Turned on supply line this morning and have not found any leaks. Is it necessary to have a filter in the refrigerator or is there an auto shutoff valve? Also, is there a filter reset button?

Here are your parts Parts for KitchenAid KSC23C8EYY02 / - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the operators manual. Also, is there a filter reset button? See page 10 in the operators manual. Looks like there is a valve in the filter holder that opens when you insert the filter. Perhaps this is not closing correctly. I would not bother replacing the holder just make sure you have a spare filter on hand before replacing it. Also be sure to remove any air from the lines when replacing the filter as air in the lines also can cause a drip, see page 7. |
