Hello,

I acquired a non-working Imperial upright freezer for free and was trying to diagnose the problem. After plugging it in, the relay clicked, compressor hummed momentarily, then the relay clicked again. Took the relay off and I think its the solid state type. I tested it with a multimeter and everything seemed okay (~0 ohms), but when I shake it I can hear some rattling. Also, it was pretty warm to the touch and the plastic housing was slightly discolored. I assume this start capacity is not functional, but I can't find it for sale anywhere! I don't think they make the part any more...is there a replacement model that anyone knows of? The only ones I could find were $55 - $70 on ********.
