the cold control in my SxS GE fridge has gone bad but the proper one, WR9X570, is no longer available and I can't find a listed substitute. I thought about installing a different GE one or a generic temporary one but I have no idea what the temp settings should be.
Any suggestions? I hate to throw out an otherwise fine $1200 fridge for the lack of a $50 part.
