Cool Refrigerator center frame too hot.
Model Number: ED25DQXBB00   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

Center frame dividing the freezer and the fridge compartments gets quite hot where the door gaskets sit on. The heat is turning on and off. What is this heater for, what is controlling it and how can the heat be turned lower or if not, turned off completely?

Gene has much to be proud of
Default

The first thing I would do is remove the front bottom grille and the rear cover and clean the condenser coil (#3 on the unit break down diagram).

To do this better you need a special condenser coil brush.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool refrigerator Model ED25DQXBB00

Gene.
