OUr icemaker works fine at making ice and shutting off when the arm is raised. The problem is when the arm is down water freezes in the bottom of the ice storage tray. We need to use a knife to break it apart. I am guessing the inlet valve is not closing all the way and it needs to be cleaned/replaced. We have hard water. Two questions:
1. Can I remove the valve and soak it in CLR to break up any deposits that have built up without damaging the unit?
2. Could something else other than the inlet valve not closing completely be causing this problem?

Thanks,
Joshua
