I just bought a 2.7 cu ft compact fridge with a freezer compartment (1 door only). Although the fridge was reasonably cold, the freezer did not do a great job at freezing. After the fridge was plugged in for more than 2 days, I saw a very thin layer of frost on the surface of the metal freezer compartment. When I put the ice cube tray provided by the manufacturer (which was very shallow) into the freezer, the water froze completely. However, if I used a bigger, deeper tray, the water did not freeze at all. Additionally, when I put meat into the fridge, the meat was only half frozen at the contacting surface with the freezer metal, leaving half of it just kinda cold and unfrozen. So I was wondering if I got a defective unit or if that is just how compact fridge function. Is there anyway I can make the fridge/freezer freeze better? Thanks!!!
