Hi everyone,

I have been having an issue with my parent's refrigerator that I am not totally sure how to fix. My parent's refrigerator and freezer would cool very intermittently, and then not cool at all. A neighbor suggested it was the condenser fan, so I ordered a new one and put it in, defrosted the fridge, and it worked, tada, for about 48 hours. Then it stopped cooling. I unplugged it for a few minutes, plugged it in, it worked for another hour or so, and then stopped again. I did notice that it was still making a lot of clicking sounds and it looked like the condenser/evaporator fan still wasn't spinning as it should, even when the compressor was on and when it was cooling. I suspect that it could be the relay/overload assembly, but I am not sure if that would cause the issue I'm experiencing.

Can anyone give me some pointers on what it might be? I don't want to buy and install parts blindly, and I'd love some advice,

Thank you!!

Tommy
