A few days ago the line running up to the water dispenser froze up, the way we can tell is down under the grate below the fridge the two connecting water lines pop off from the built up pressure and water pours on to the floor.
Anyways this has happened in the past so I did what I always do, open the freezer door and blast it with some heat until the line thaws, then connect the water lines and all is good.
Well after I connected the water lines this time and pressed the water dispenser there seemed to be a couple second delay before the water started dispensing, this delay seemed to increase a bit over the next couple days.
Then a couple days ago I went to use the dispenser and it didn't dispense water at all and still won't. I disconnected the line at the bottom of the fridge to see if it was dispensing water that far and it is not, I can still hear the hum of the pump when I press the dispenser though.
I thought it might be the filter so I disconnected that and replaced it with a new one but the problem persists. It seems there is at least some water getting to the filter because if I pull it out and shake out any residue water and put it back in and try the dispenser, then remove the filter there is some water back in it again, and there is a bit of suction noise when I remove it.
Anyone have any ideas on where to go from here? Is this likely a problem with the pump?? Maybe a blocked line coming from the filter compartment or something similar?
If anyone could offer a suggestion I'd appreciate it! Kurt
