The freezer gets lots of frost, but the fridge is getting warmer. This happened once before and I found the passage way between the fridge and freezer frozen closed. That time I unplugged it for a day and it has run fine for about 5 months. Now it has happened twice in the last 2 weeks. Any help would be appreciated.

Here are your parts.

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Check the freezer temperature. It should be around 0 to 5 degrees F.
If it is too cold it could do this.

Check the door seals. If there is a leak then warm moist air is getting in causing too much frost.
Check that they are clean.
Take a 2 inch wide piece of paper. Place it between the frame and door seal and then pull it out to check the seal. Work your way around both doors. Check that the hinge side of the seal is not grabbing and twisting. If it does this then a light coating of white lithium grease or vaselinne should fix it.

The below is the most likely.
Remove the cover in the freezer so you can inspect the evaporator coils.
If they are heavily iced/frosted over then you have a defrost problem.
Get back to us for how to troubleshoot this or search in the Refrigerator section.
