My Refrigerator when working gives out a start and stop High Frequency sound like a motor trying to start up. After a time the freezer and the refrigerator section starts to loose thermal control. I switch off the system and wait for a period of time and then plug back in and units starts working again well for about a day or two then the process starts again. The sound sounds like a motor trying to kick in. My first though is the compressor but by taking the unit off line then plugging back in the system works well. Could the start capacitor be failing or could it be the compressor that I am hearing going south. Sorry to sound so vague but I have not experience this kind of failure before.
