Hi. New to the forum.
My refridgerator/freezer are not cooling enough. The first thing that I noticed was the ice maker stoped working. The freezer coils are frosting over into a small iceberg. I melted this with a hair dryer. Through trouble shooting & visiting forums like this I started with the defrost timer, then the defrost thermostat. The Compressor is running & cycling & the cooling fan is running. The fan in the freezer is running & the defrost heater has good resistance. The coils under the fridge were covered with dog hair so I cleaned that out as well. Still the fridge is in the 40-50 degree range & the freezer doesnt get below the mid - 30's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We just bought this house with "new" appliances & I don't think they were registered for the warranty.

If the evaporator coils are only partially frozen, you have a sealed system problem/ bad compressor.
