I needed a new ice maker for our GE Profile refrigerator purchased in 2001. The IM-6 kit was shown to be the correct part for that refrigerator. However, the water cup in the kit does not work without modification. The original water cup will not attach to the IM-6 ice maker. And the one that does attach does not have a hole in the rear for the fill tube.
Is the ice maker that comes with the IM-6 kit the same one as P/N AP4345120 sold by several vendors?
