Extended defrosting cycle causes freezer to warm up into 30's.
After which, units cools back down and runs normal until the next defrost cycle.

Ice maker makes ice but won't dispense ice or water.

I replaced freezer temp sensor, defrost thermostat and defrost heater(darken on each end).
I also replaced filter and water dispenser door solenoid.
Did NOT change a thing.
It stayed in defrost cycle as it was when I started repairs.
Did not notice any freezing on coils when I did repairs.
Thinking it must be the motherboard.
Any advice or comments please.

Replace the evaporator thermistor clipped to the top of the evaporator.

@richappy, Thanks for the reply. I did replace the thermistor(I mistakenly called it "defrost thermostat").
24 hrs after my repairs, the unit still has the extended defrost cycle that lasts for several hrs, allowing the inside temperature to reach into the 60's on the refrigerator side. During cooling cycle it reaches down into the low 20's. The temp setting is set on 3 (9 being the coldest).

The water dispenser is working correctly but NOT during the defrost cycle. During that time the water "pulses" out then stops a moment, then pulses again. The ice maker is maker ice and the dispenser flap opens but the auger doesn't turn. During defrost cycle, the flap does not function at all.

During the defrost cycle I hear a clicking sound and see the evaporator fan slightly turn with each "click sound" and the lights slightly dim with each "click".
(fan runs fine during cooling cycle).

I've ordered the board and will install it probably Monday when it arrives. Reading other posts, I feel this should correct the problems I'm having.

Months prior, the refrigerator was making a wooing sound and now a clicking sound during it's defrost cycle. Other posts have reported the same and after replacing the control board, their problems were solved. Thinking back, it could be due it's age or a even power surge. But, following the advice I've found here, replacing the heater, thermostat and sensor have narrowed the cause and hope the board is my answer.

The control board fixed my problems. Thank you Appliance Parts Pro's for the helpful video's that allowed me to trouble-shoot/ repair my refrigerator myself.
All problems have been resolved and the unit is working as it should. I believe I had two issues. The board and heater. The clicking sound, extended defrost cycle, ice/ water dispenser not working, the freezer/ refrigerator temperature are all back in working oder!
