The ice maker on my fridge quit dispensing ice recently. You can hear the motor hum when the button is pushed, but it doesn't turn. I tried emptying out the bin of ice, but this didn't help. I feel like this is a simple problem that I should be able to fix, and I'm hoping someone more knowledgable than me can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for your help.

Here are your parts
Parts for GE PSS26NSWASS Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.com

If you click on a part's description or picture a new page will open with info on that part. Take a look at the motor Item 369 in section 07.

I do not agree with the one post in the Q&A section that says if the motor has continuity it is good as it may have mechanical problems.

If it is getting 120 volts and does not turn then it is bad.

By some act of god, the ice dispenser decided it would work for me again, yay. Now, I have a recurring problem that one of the drawers in the fridge will freeze its contents. This is one of the two drawers that is meant for fruits and veggies, it has a slide to adjust humidity based on what you're storing. Is there a setting I'm missing that's causing my problem??

On the freezing crisper all I can suggest is to carefully go through the operators manual.

If nothing is obviously wrong with your settings you may want to raise the fresh food side a degree or two.

Recommended fresh food temperature is 40 degrees as a maximum.
