This morning the fridge started to make a beeping sound like a travel alarm clock (never has made that sound before), and when I went to see what was going on, it was spewing water on the floor as if a ghost was trying to get a glass of water. I stopped it by opening the door. Got advice that it was likely the actuator switch or control board. So I start trying to open/remove it, noticing a tiny spider in the process, and when I finally get it open, the corner of the control board by the water contact switch has lots of little spider poop granules. Could the spider and /or poop have completed the circuit and caused water to dispense? And if I cleaned it out (q-tip, alcohol, blew dry), is it safe to turn the water back on and leave the fridge home alone? Is it safe to assume that the spider/poop was actually the cause of the problem? No other problems with dispenser til today.
