My whirlpool refrigerator decided to stop cooling. So I clean it out, and start cleaning the outside. I unplug it for five minutes, and plug it back in. Nothing happens. So I figure the compressor relay went out. As I am pulling it out, it gets stuck, so shove it. The compressor ones on, and now it seemed to be working again. No strange noises. No fluids on the ground of sparks, or anything other than the quiet hum it alaways gave when it kicked on to cool.

Any thoughts?

P.S. Prior to tidY, it had not been moved in two years. Only had the front panel removed and the coils and floor cleaned and vacuumed beneath it and that was last done a year ago.

Peal off the control panel overlay and remove all the screws and let the control panel hang down. Tap either the adaptive defrost board, the cold control or the power connector, you will find one that is intermittent. Most probable failure is the cold control.
