I have a Frigidaire upright freezer that is not freezing. It is cold inside, about refridgerator temp, but doesn't freeze. The coils are frozen.

First make sure tha evaporator motor is running.

If OK remove the evaporator cover so you can see the coils etc,.
Looks like the defrost times is at the back of the unit at the bottom.
Turn the defrost timer cam till the compressor evaporator fan shut off.
You are now in defrost mode.
See if the heater heats up.
Be careful do not burn your fingers.
If it does heat up then replace the defrost timer.

If it does not heat up it could be the defrost heater itself of the defrost thermostat.
