Hey guys need some advice on stainless Frigidaire (unknown model/age) Professional Series side by side (no freezer) seamed cold when I bought used 2 mon ago now does not get cold (in summer). Condenser fan turns, there is good power at the plug, but the compressor does not turn. I hear no noise at any point. So i thought maybe go down to the local h/w store get a 3n1 to test it out also multimeter for resistance at the 3 pins of comp. I've read to what to do with multimeter but what I'm not sure of is the 3n1.
Here are the only specs i've been able to find on the compressor (below). My guess is that it's a 1/5 hp based on specs of a 70HLP but I'm not sure ... also not sure of the age (bought from a used appliance store). Can I use a 3n1 on it? if so do i use a 1/3-1/4hp type? And is this what a pro would call a "newer" 1/5 compressor? I've heard the 3n1 is not recommended in those cases. Please advise and thanks in adv!
