Check if there is a frost built up on the back wall in the freezer.

Measure the temperature in the freezer.

Check if the fan inside the freezer is running.

Check if the cold air coming out of vents inside the fresh food compartment.

Post your findings.

hello!
I checked and there is no frost build up.
The temp in the freezer seems fine. EVERYTHING IS STILL FROZEN AND EVEN ICE IS BEING MADE. ( SORRY I DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO CHECK THE EXACT TEMP)
No air moving in the fridge.
There IS air moving in the freezer.

Most likely the problem is a bad damper control (#13 on the break down diagram).

- The part number for the damper control is AP3681859

Per Maytag the harness must be replaced together with the damper control.

- The part number for the harness is AP3832037

The damper control operates with the air flow from the freezer (where the cooling coils located) into the fresh food compartment.

o! i see!!!

well i know its hard to say exactly what it is, i do thank you for all your help n trying to help me find my problem.

i dont have alot of money and im trying not to have to try alot of different parts.

inside the fridge on the top are 2 digital controls.. one for the freezer and one for the fridge. when i turn down the fridge control and them turn it back up, it pops( in the inside all the way in the back of the fridge) 4 a bit them stops. it seems like its tryin to turn on,but dont. there is absolutly no cold air or movement in the fridge. and the freezer is fine.

do you still think its the damper control? if so thats the part i will order!

its it hard 2 change? ive learned to be somewhat handy since my husband passed away( changing flat tire, changing broken sink fasit, etc).

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND PATIENCE!!!!

I hope you understand that I can not guarantee such diagnosis but most likely the problem is there.

Take a look at the break down diagram I've mentioned earlier to locate the part and the way how to get there.

Good luck.
