Model Number: GSS22JERFWW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
Hello,
I replaced the defrost heater harness on my side-by-side refri back on Oct. 10th (after getting the diagnosis from a local repair company). The refri & freezer started working great for over 1 week but today, again, the refrigerator is back up to 60 degrees. Also, there's frost build-up on the back panel of the freezer. Obviously, there's a problem with the defrost system...I read a thread & used this website's search box but the defrost timer doesn't even come up using my model number. When I did the search the only thing that came up was the heater harness defrost which I've already replaced. Does it even have a defrost timer? Any suggestions? What do I need to check for continuity? Thanks for all your suggestions....thanks Ads By Google Related Models |

There is no defrost timer in your refrigerator. All functions are operated by the main control board (#801 on the diagram). You can find the troubleshooting instructions in one of our previous thread, in the reply addressed to bohemian: Freezer is fine, refrigerator is too warm.
Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE GSS22JERFWW | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
