Model Number: FRT21LR7AB6 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a Frigidaire I bought 3 years ago. It seems like it gets stuck in defrost mode. If I unplug it for 30-45 minutes, it starts working again. I can tell when I need to unplug it because there's a pre-compressor "growl" that's louder than normal, then it clicks off before the fan comes on. Eventually, it just blows warm air in the freezer. I believe its the control-defrost adaptive timer pc board. part # 240545401. A local parts house has it but says if that's not the problem, it's not his problem. I own the part. limited income so I want to be sure. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
