Fridge is maintaining 42*. When installed the guy broke the grounding prong off the plug due to this being an older house w/ two prong outlets. I havent heard the compressor kick in since it was installed. Seller claimed a fan issue and replaced the fan. Still didn't hear the compressor after repluged for 4 hours. Seller claimed the issue to be the lack of a grounding prong on the plug. Seller came back, replaced the cord. It's now running on a HD utility cord from a grounded outlet in the garage and it't still running at 42*. Obviously it's not a grounding issue or is it. I'm not sure the new outlet is actually grounded butmy question is this. Will the lack of a grounding prong - we've all broken off one or two - affect the running of the compressor? That's what he says the problem was but it's not making a difference.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
