I have a Kitchen Aid KUIC15PRTS0 under counter icemaker. It was new in 2008 and had a water valve recall almost as soon as it was put in service. The Invensys W10217917 water valve was replaced under warranty in January of 2009 due to a potential leakage with the original valve. That valve lasted until August of 2011 when it developed a leak in the plastic housing. It was replaced with AP4362516, also an Invensys valve. That valve lasted until January 2013 when it developed a similar leak in the housing. Again I replaced it with valve AP4362516. That valve developed a leak in March of 2014, again in the plastic housing. This is not a leak from the fittings. Our water pressure is regulated and around 50 psi as I recall. Four valves in 4 years is crazy! Any ideas?
