Default Micro Switch For Icemaker
Model Number: ED22RFXFW00   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

My side-by-side refrigerator has quit dispensing ice. I have checked the motor and relay which are okay and this leads to the switch that activates the relay which starts the motor and dispenses ice. How do I remove the defective switch in order to replace it? I suspect that I have to remove the outside front panel, but not sure how to remove it. Does it snap in and out since there are no visible screws?
