GE Profile side-by-side fridge. The water and ice dispenser has recently started to work intermittently. When it's not working, the dispenser selection lights flash or go out altogether. When the dispenser is working, the lights function properly, auger turns, and water and ice flow fine. The iceMAKER works fine, although I'm not certain if the fill paddle is functioning, since the ice continues to pile up until there's physically no more room.

Tried turning off the icemaker for extended periods. No difference. sometimes the dispenser works, sometimes not.

What could be the problem?
