Model Number: IM4A Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
My GE Profile bottom freezer has an IM4A icemaker, it's been replaced twice because the icemaker doesn't appear shut off (it doesn't have the metal arm) and the guardrail (paddle-like arm) then sweeps the ice out of the bucket and onto the freezer floor. I've been advised its a design issue, but friends have an identical icemaker and they have had no problems. Any ideas as to how to stop this from happening?
