Had freezer stop working, not cooling/freezing. Found coils behind back panel solid with ice. It has done this before. Thawed it out, and now it's cooling to like below zero and the ice maker wont make ice. The tube freezes up after thawing it out on first water cycle. Doesn't even get to make 1 batch. Freezer seems to just not be cycling off and is freezing ice maker tube instantly as it turns on. Of course after first freeze, don't get any water thru at all. What sensor tells it its cold enough and to cycle off and on?

You seem to be missiing some digits at the endof your model number.
Please check it.

Check your freezer temperature.
It should be between 0 and 5 degrees F.
Could be it is too cold.
The most likely cause is a bad control thermostat.

It's TFX27ILL. Any idea of the part number of the control thermostat? I've viewed the diagram of the whole refrigerator and haven't seen that exact wording. I've seen defrost thermostat, but that's the closest I've seen.
