I am trouble shooting an ICE and WATER dispensing problem. The ice maker works perfectly...just won't dispense. While troubleshooting I noticed that when I push the dispenser lever the evaporator fan will stop running. Releasing the lever will allow the fan to start running again. If someone can tell me how to get a wiring diagram I can probably figure it out but if not perhaps someone with more refrigerator repair expertise than me can help. Or, maybe that's the way it's supposed to work and I just didn't know it?
Or, maybe not...I just noticed that the evaporator fan will also stop if I simply push the LIGHT button???
The freezer temp is running between 4 and 14 degrees depending upon where I point my IR thermometer if that makes any difference.
Would this indicate a failed ice dispenser control board or main control board and if so is there any way to verify as the parts are pretty expensive and as a retiree I'd hate to waste money by wrongly replacing a good part.
I'd very much appreciate any help I could get...
