This model Samsung uses an icemaker water delivery tube that has a heater. The heater plugs into a fixed socket in the roof of the freezer compartment.

My question is: When is this circuit for the heater energized. When I check with a voltmeter it shows 0 volts. Does this circuit turn on and off with the cycle of the ice maker?

Is there a way to test this circuit?
