Based on below, trying to determine if the refrigerator is repairable. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Suddenly stopped cooling completely, the fan will run and the lights are on when plugged in. The compressor does not turn on and is extremely hot to touch (burn your hand hot). When you unplug and plug back in, you can hear what sounds like the relay trying to kick but nothing happens.

I found an older post with a similar issue, but I'd to know how to check the resistance of the relay on this model, or if there are any other steps I can take to know for sure if I can/should repair or if it's done for good.
