The more reading up on my problem the more confused I'm getting. My 4 year old fridge quit cooling out of the blue. The compressor and cooling fan won't come on . If I unplug it for the night and plug it back in the next morning they start up and run till the fridge and freezer hit the set temp. But then it shuts off and doesn't start again. I tested the ohms across the compressor terminals and they seem fine. Could it be the start run relay? When I shut the cooling off on the display a clicking comes from the back of the fridge , not the start relay though, and then stops . Set the temperature again and the clicking comes on for about 10 seconds then stops. I'm pretty sure the fan in the freezer runs because I can here something running and it's not the fan underneath or the compressor. Any ideas? It's a bottom freezer model.
