For some reason the drip tray on our two-year old refrigerator has a crack in it. I have no idea how that happened, but we figured out that's the cause of water on the floor and we bought the replacement part.

My husband has tilted the fridge back and I removed the four screws, but the existing drip tray is still stuck in there, not coming out. Any ideas?

It seems that there may be a a wide steel panel on half of the bottom of the fridge that might be holding it in. It is bolted in. Is this the piece that should be removed to take the drip tray out? It simply will not slide out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
