I left the house for a month in July. A week after I left my daughter checked the house and found the refrig. not working and all the food spoiled. We had NOT lost power during that time and it was on but not working. When I returned, much to our surprise, we found the refrig working. I was able to determine that we did have a power outage during that time. My guess is that something reset when the power came back on. The unit is working now and has been functioning normally for 2 days so far. except, the 3.0 lb. light on the Express Thaw is on. I tried to do the self diagnostic test by setting the freezer and refrigerator temps to "5" per the instruction, but the fresh food section would not go below "34". I'm concerned that I will have the same problem again and would like to find out how to repair it.
