Have an 8yr old Kenmore side by side. After recent electrical storm, noticed freezer stopped cooling. Note error in my thread title: Fridge side seemed fine initially, but then also started to not stay cool either.

Every few minutes I hear a click then compressor will run for about 5-10 seconds then shut down again. Then I noticed a viscous black liquid leaking out from both front corners of the fridge. Anyone have any ideas? Bad relay or compressor?
