Hello, Trying to repair defrost problem and cooling issue with fresh food compartment. Replaced with recommended 2 element heater, replaced defrost thermostat and defrost timer. Now I plugged unit back in and it does not come on  . Could you please advise me as to what is going on now. Thanks

Rotate the defrost timer cam. Could be you are in a defrost cycle.

Note that if it has been plugged in for an hour or so and did not start up there may be a problem with the defrost timer re: it is not advancing.

:)Refrigerator repair 101, I am ready for my union card, everything is working wonderful. My honey cleaned it in and out so it looks like new and it is working like new. I could not imagine what the heck was up when I plugged it in and nothing came on except the lights. The timer must have been in cycle 2 at the time. Thanks again for your help. Happy guy here!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

You are welcome.

I am glad to hear it is up and running.

And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.
