This is a simple refrigerator....freezer on top frig on bottom. Problem is that compressor does not shut off and ends up freezing everything. I replaced the thermostat located in the lower section but the problem remains. I also checked and confirmed that the light does shut off. I checked the coils and all is clean. This afternoon I took the cover off of the vent in the freezer and found a fan....it was not running.....i spun it and it started.....checked it again later in the day and the fan was not running....spun it again and away it went. Can this be causing my problem? Should this fan be running all the time or does it have some other control. Thanks, Cliff
