I was wondering about what a controller is that plugs into the compressor. What does it do and what problems to expect when it goes out. I have this Freezer and it just went out. Thank you

Only control I know of would be the thermostat, this turns the unit on/off depending on it's internal temperature.

The only other type of control would be the defrost timer this turns the defrost heater on/off. It usually goes through a defrost cycle once every 8 hours or so.
