My kenmore refrigderator icemaker has stopped working almost the time

It freezes the water fine, but appears to not be able to eject the ice. I can hear what sounds like the icemaker trying to eject the ice, but it takes forever.

It has done this in the past, but always corrected itself if I left the signal arm in the up position for a day or two. But not this time.

Any ideas?

My wife said she saw water at the back of the icemaker, coming over the ice and into and down the side of the ice bucket.
