Hello all,
Over the last few months my refrigerator has been randomly making noises like it's relieving excess pressure. I've tried to find a relief valve but can't seem to locate one and since it's happening randomly I'can't trace the noise to its source. Now my freezer doesn't seem cold enough and the ice maker has stopped producing ice. The freezer is cold enough to freeze water but it's temperature doesn't seem stable. Do you have any ideas of what the problem might be or how to troubleshoot this problem?

My fans were cycling very quickly as well but a new main board seems to have fixed that issue.

Thanks in advance,
-Michael

The compressor may have ingested non-compressables. If no ice on the back freezer panel, measure the freezer temperature and post.

Hey Rich,
Thanks for the quick reply! There is a thin film of frost on the back panel of the freezer but nothing too bad. I think it's from the condensation due to the temperature fluctuations.

I will give you a temp reading from the freezer tonight when I get home (after I run to get a thermometer)

You need to pull the freezer back panel and check the frost pattern on the coils.
