Fridge and freezer warm. hear clicking noise every minute and half. compressor will not start and clicking noise stops. this continues to repeat. Would I be dealing with a capacitor or is compressor bad?

Hi.

You should check if this is the compressor itself or starting components. Unplug the unit, remove the starting components from the compressor and use a multimeter to check continuity between three compressor's contacts, then from one of the contacts to the ground. If there is resistance between all three pins and no continuity to the ground you should replace the starting components.
