Changed the overload and start relay. Start relay rattled so figured was bad per replies on forum. Ordered new one, rattled when I received it. Called company and new one was sent. It too rattled so not sure about the rattle thing. It will cool for a day or two then not for a day or two. Sometimes when I turn the freezer temp dial all the way on and then all the way off and it will kick in again. That trick does not work all the time though. Please help.THANKS!

I cannot find any info on the given model number, please check it.
Tried here and the Sears site.

If the unit has a condenser/compressor fan, it is often wired in parallel with the compressor.
So if it is also off it means that the compressor is not getting voltage and he most likely culprit is your temperature control thermostat.

Clicking is normal depending on the type of start relay.

FYI here is a good site with info on how to check parts.

Thanks for the reply. The condenser fan is working when the fridge decides to run. The model number is 106.73184303 SN EP4011147. I did transpose two numbers. I'll check out the site link. Thanks again!!!

Sorry I still cannot find any info.

The real question is if the fan is working when the freezer is not.
This is usually a symptom of a bad main thermostat re: the fan and the compressor are not getting any power.

I cannot say for sure that the above is correct as I cannot find out how your unit is wired.
