Model Number: fv21m2wx Brand: Gibson Age: More than 10 years
I moved the freezer to a place with no air space on either side. The freezer quit. Did I kill it or just injure it? Is there a fix? It was manufactured July 1991. It does not have cooling coils in back, but I would guess in the inside of the sides, and I would guess it got to hot (no space on the sides). If injured, is there a reset button? Thank you for any comments. Roy

Hi Roy,
Does it make any noises? Bypass the cold control and see if the freezer will work. Post your findings. Gene.

The freezer will not run with plugged in. Changing the temp setting does nothing. I really think I killed it. I had thought there might be some reset button or such like. Anyway Gene, thanks for the reply. Roy
