Hello,

The spring in my ice dispenser chute door needs to be replaced. Before I order the required parts I wanted to make sure that I had access to change out the part. My refrigerator is a Kitchen Aid Model # KSSS48QHX000.

After removing the side rails that hold in the wood panels I am unable to figure out a way to remove the dispenser cover (part #PS332995)which is required in order to get into the dispenser. It appears that it should slide to one side but it is caught on something which prevents it to slide. I believe it is the switch (PS330415) which does not allow movement. There is tab on the top of the switch unit but pressing does not seem to do any good. The screws to remove the rails that hold the front plate are under the plate so I cannot get to them.

Not sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
