The water part is fine and it has no problem to dispense water. When I push the latch, there is no humming sound. Would this be the motor issue? Thanks for any help.

If it doesn't, then most likely it's a broken micro switch or bracket.If it does - bad dispenser motor. You also should check if the wires down at the freezer bottom hinge are OK.
