Model Number: Kenmore Elite Model 106 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
My old ice maker quit working on my Kenmore Elite model 106. After doing some research it seems the ice maker was bad based on the fact that the white fingers were not in the upright position as shown in the video. It was making ice just not ejecting it. I purchased a replacement and installed it according to the instructional video. It made one batch of ice, ejected it, refilled the tray and froze another batch but failed to eject the newly made ice. The ejection fingers are in the upright position and there is ice in the tray but it will not eject. The red indicator light blinks twice as it is supposed to. The vendor says they will stand behind the new icemaker but I want to make certain it’s the ice maker and not something else before the hassle of changing it out again and still having the same problem. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can offer.
